Studio and Film Production

This is a program that will immerse students in a working professional studio production environment. Students will be taught by professors from Dutchess Community College's Communications Program. Working the college's professional quality studio, students well be exposed to all the elements of the professional production process as they work to create a cooperative product that will allow each student to choose an area of interest in the production process and explore it in depth.

Through their experiences on the sound stage, in the video editing rooms, and in the audio recording studio, students will be left with a real impression of what it is like to work in the video and audio production industry.

Students will be provided with a copy of their final product. Students who take the Professional Studio Production class in the first session and wish to continue into the second session will work to further enhance their studio prodction skills and take the lead in the production of the Academy's Summer '07 short film. This film will be written and produced by members of the Studio Film Production Class in the second session.
